KIEV, March 3 – The Ukrainian national budget in January saw a UAH 1.648 billion in surplus, while in January 2008 it was UAH 1.861 billion, and in January 2007 it was UAH 2.585 billion, according to the Economy Ministry.

"In January the budget had a UAH 1.6 billion of surplus, which is linked with the rise in funds on the accounts of budget organizations [by UAH 1.5 billion), while the deficit of the general fund of the national budget was UAH 1.3 billion," reads the report.
