KIEV, Feb. 20 - The level of the dollarization of Ukraine's economy in 2008 grew to 30.6% from the 22.8% registered by the beginning of the year, the National Bank of Ukraine said.

"Due to the exchange rate revaluation, the pace of growth of funds in foreign currency in 2008 considerably exceeded a rise of funds in the national currency – 75.3% and 5.25 respectively. These peculiarities of the pace of growth of the structure of deposits grew to the level of the economy dollarization from 22.8% at the start of the year to 30.6% as of January 1, 2009," reads the report.
