KIEV, Feb. 18 – President Viktor Yushchenko said he is anxious that Ukraine may not receive the second tranche of a multi-billion dollar loan from the International Monetary Fund.
He voiced his concerns at a meeting with the president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Thomas Mirow, in Kiev on Wednesday.
"The IMF did not complete discussion of the programs. The 2009 state budget includes expenditure [covered by] $12 billion in IMF loans, which is being thrown into question," Yushchenko said.
