KIEV, Feb. 9 – Ukraine is facing a budget deficit at 7% of gross domestic product in 2009, more than twice as much as originally forecast, President Viktor Yushchenko said Monday.

Yuschenko said the deficit may reach as much as 79 billion hryvnias, as the government has overestimated budget revenue by forecasting economic growth.
