KIEV, Jan. 22 – A Kiev court on Thursday banned the National Bank of Ukraine from releasing 3 billion hryvnias in refinancing cash to Nadra Bank, which that has been facing increasing pressure on its deposits.

The action comes after the government has moved to file a lawsuit seeking to stop the transaction that it believes was “corrupt,” Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said.
