KIEV, Dec. 8 – Retail Group, which manages Velyka Kyshenia supermarket chain, plans to raise up to $150 million to develop the chain, in particular, to buy small and medium Ukrainian trade chains, its CFO Oleh Piavka said.
"Now it is the most favorable moment to purchase retailers," Piavka told Interfax-Ukraine.
He did not disclose which particular operators might be purchased.
He said that a mechanism for raising funds has not been determined. In particular, the company is considering selling a minority stake in OJSC Retail Group. Among the potential buyers of the stake are direct investment funds, he said. Piavka did not disclose the size of the stake that will be put up for sale.
