KIEV, Dec. 2 – Parliamentary groups appeared to be taking their time in talks to try to come up with a new coalition, with reports of Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko intensifying contacts with the opposition Regions Party.

The development delays the debate and the vote over President Viktor Yushchenko’s recent initiative to approve his long-time ally Ivan Pliushch as the new speaker of Parliament.
