KIEV, Dec. 2 – The freezing of some non-specific subsidies would allow Ukraine to save, redistribute and allocate around 0.7% of GDP to help its poorest citizens, Shigeo Katsu, vice president of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia, said in an article published in the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia newspaper.
"Ukraine should provide protections for the poorest and most vulnerable of its citizens during the period of economic recession and build the basis for a stable and quick recovery of the economy," he said.
