KIEV, Sept. 9 - The Ukrainian government on Tuesday pledged to take steps to support the country’s steel and mining sector, such as increasing the domestic supply of iron ore and coking coal and reducing transportation costs.

The Economy Ministry, the Industrial Policy Ministry, the Federation of Metallurgy Workers and the Federation of Employers on Tuesday signed memorandum that calls for quarterly monitoring of prices and supplies in the sector.
