KIEV, Sept. 3 – Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said Wednesday she will begin consultations with political groups in order to form a majority in Parliament following the collapse of her coalition with President Viktor Yushchenko’s group.
“Literally tomorrow I will begin consultations with all political groups in Parliament in order to create a system of consolidation,” Tymoshenko said in a televised statement.
Tymoshenko has 40 days to form the new coalition or to face dismissal of Parliament by Yushchenko after Our Ukraine-People’s Self-defense had voted to quit the coalition with Tymoshenko on Tuesday.
