KIEV, Aug. 1 – A new contract between EnergoAtom, the state-owned operator of all four Ukrainian nuclear power plants, and Russia's OAO TVEL on supplies of fresh nuclear fuel after 2010 is to be signed by late 2008, said Yuriy Nedashkovsky, EnergoAtom's president.
He said that Russia has proposed to sign a new contract for 15 years, until 2026.
Nedashkovsky said that Ukraine is analyzing the proposal, as in 2017 Ukraine plans to launch a fresh nuclear fuel production plant, which could affect the volumes of fuel supplies from Russia.
