KIEV, July 14 - Ukraine and Japan on Monday signed a memorandum on cooperation for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions under the Kyoto Protocol, the Ukrainian environment protection ministry said Monday.

The memorandum opens the door for Ukraine to get investments for the introduction of new environment friendly technologies through joint-implementation projects (JIP) and green investment schemes (GIS), the ministry reported.
