KIEV, July 12 – Parliament on Friday rejected Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko’s amendments to the 2008 budget, postponing for at least two months crucial spending initiatives aimed at helping the poor weather high inflation.

The vote also shows that Tymoshenko does not enjoy support from the majority in Parliament, suggesting the government will have serious challenges while ssking approval for any legislation.
