KIEV, July 5 – Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko’s government, following a clash with the central bank over its 2008 inflation forecast, on Saturday revised the forecast upwards ahead of an important meeting at President Viktor Yushchenko’s office.
The government revised the forecast inflation figure to 15.9% in 2008 from 15.3%, which both Yushchenko and the National Bank of Ukraine had earlier criticized as too optimistic.
