MOSCOW, July 1 - Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov, unhappy with Ukraine’s plans for accession to NATO, Tuesday called on Russian authorities not to extend their friendship and cooperation treaty with Ukraine.

The treaty, the key agreement regulating relations between the two largest former Soviet Union nations, is due to expire later this year, and would otherwise get extended automatically.
