KIEV, June 20 – When the law on customs tariffs comes into force, Ukraine will stop meeting its commitments to the World Trade Organization and WTO member states will impose sanctions on it, Oleksandr Shlapak, first deputy head of the presidential secretariat warned.
He said at a briefing in Kiev on Friday that if Parliament overrides a presidential veto on amendments to the law on customs tariffs, WTO member states would demand respective compensation, including the revocation of signatures by certain WTO member states from their agreements with Ukraine.
