KIEV, June 6 - The Ukrainian government started consultations with U.S. oil company Vanco Energy weeks after canceling its offshore oil extraction license and the production sharing agreement, a Vanco official said Friday.
Gene Van Dyke, Vanco’s founder and chairman, met Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko late Wednesday for the first time since the government had cancelled the company’s license and PSA last month.
