KYIV, Oct 31 – Starting in 2025, higher natural gas transportation fees are expected to offset increased expenses for operating the gas transmission system without Russian transit.

"However, in a downside scenario, these costs will be compensated to a lesser degree by consumers, reducing GTSOU's profitability [Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine]," stated Ukraine's Ministry of Finance in its annual Fiscal Risks Information, compiled using data from state-owned companies for the 2025 state budget.
