KYIV, April 29 – Investment group ICU again downgraded economic growth forecast for Ukraine for 2024 – from 5% to 4.1% due to Russian attacks on infrastructure, but at the same time improved its CPI 9consumer price index) forecast from 10.1% to 6.4%.
"The economy continues to grow in 2024 at a reasonable pace and massive destruction of the country's energy infrastructure will only slow, but not disrupt, the recovery. Given the new risk [of disruption of electricity supply], we downgrade our projection for 2024 GDP growth to 4.1% from a previous 5.0%," Head of the Macroeconomic Research Department Vitaliy Vavryshchuk said, commenting on the review of the forecast.
