KYIV, May 26 – Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand has announced the transfer of 43 AIM-9 missiles from the arsenal of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) to Ukraine, noting that they will help Ukraine secure its skies from ongoing attacks from the Russian Federation.

As reported on the website of the Canadian Defense Ministry, she said this on Thursday during an online participation in the 12th meeting of the Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine (UDCG), during which allies and partners discussed the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine and reaffirmed their commitment to support Ukraine by providing comprehensive military assistance to the Armed Forces.
