KYIV, Jan 24 – Certification of gas storage operator Ukrtransgaz will significantly strengthen its position in the European market, says the head of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC), Kostiantyn Uschapovsky.

"This is our third licensee that is undergoing the certification process (NPC Ukrenergo and GTS Operator were previously certified). This is a very powerful step that will allow the company to significantly strengthen its position in the European market," he said during a meeting of the commission on Tuesday, at which the regulator approved the procedure for certification of a gas storage operator.
