KYIV, Nov 11 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny has contracted part of the volume of gas purchases for a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the amount of EUR300 million, company CEO Oleksiy Chernyshov said following a meeting with EBRD Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus Matteo Patrone.
"The EBRD is one of the key strategic partners of the Naftogaz group, providing financial support to the company and helping overcome the devastating consequences of the Russian invasion. Back in the summer, the EBRD decided to open a EUR300 million credit line to Naftogaz for emergency gas purchases. The first purchases are already contracted, but the main work is still ahead," Chernyshov said.
