KYIV, Sept 12 – European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson, at an extraordinary meeting of the EU Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council last Friday, urged participants to ask ENTSO-E to accelerate the increase in electricity trade with Ukraine, according to a report on the website of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

"Today, during the meeting of the Council, Kadri Simson called on the participants to support the proposal to apply to ENTSO-E on accelerating a step-by-step increase in electricity trade with Ukraine, taking into account the debt of ENTSO-E to ensure the stability and security of the European power system," the Ministry of Energy said.
