KYIV, Aug 16 - Alfa-Bank (Kyiv) has sufficient liquidity and operates without serious disruptions, it is important for us in the market and the National Bank of Ukraine that this systemically important bank function today without adding new stresses to the financial system, First Deputy Governor of the NBU Kateryna Rozhkova said.

"We do not see any threats to the functioning of Alfa-Bank," she said on Ukrainian Radio on Monday.

Rozhkova noted that today the shareholders of Alfa-Bank are under sanctions, the National Bank took away their right to vote at a general meeting of shareholders, the bank itself operates under serious restrictions that prevent the use of the Ukrainian banking system in the interests of the aggressor country.
