KYIV, Aug 9 – Ukraine cannot fully ensure the safety of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) occupied by Russian troops and requires urgent intervention of international institutions to carry out its complete demilitarization, head of Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Starukh has said.
"It is important for us that international institutions get involved and that the station is demilitarized. It is important for the security of all mankind. So that we do not have situations worse than Chornobyl. So that there is complete security, because even a war can turn out to be a trifle compared to what can happen," he said during a briefing at a media center in Lviv on Tuesday.
