KYIV, Aug 2 – The total amount of documented damage from the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine for the seven weeks of the war after June 13 increased by $12.8 billion mainly due to an increase in the number of damaged and destroyed buildings and reached $108.3 billion, according to the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) on Tuesday.
"According to the latest data, at least 129,900 buildings were destroyed and damaged, of which 15,100 are multi-apartment buildings... Direct losses from the destruction of high-rise buildings amount to $42.3 billion, and another $5.4 billion of losses were caused to owners of private houses," stated in an updated document jointly prepared by the KSE Institute, government bodies under the leadership of the Ministry of Reintegration and the Ministry of Regional Development.
