KYIV, June 21 – For the accumulation of 19 billion cubic meters of gas by the beginning of the heating season, which was tasked by the government of Ukraine, Naftogaz should import 5.8 billion cubic meters of gas, while reserves of 15 billion cubic meters are quite acceptable, CEO of Naftogaz Ukrainy Yuriy Vitrenko has said.

If you need to have such a large reserve, as the government wants, at the beginning of the heating season of 19 billion cubic meters, this means that you need to import almost 5.8 billion cubic meters additionally. This means that you need to spend $8 billion, a lot of money for Ukraine," Vitrenko said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
