KYIV, Jan 17 – Aircraft of Antonov Airlines (Kyiv) with a cargo ramp in the tail section are exempt from the ICAO aircraft CO2 emissions standard, but from 2030 the company will be required to choose one of the programs to reduce emissions, Antonov Airlines Leading Engineer Vadym Deniskov has told Interfax-Ukraine.

He said that based on the excess of the average emission of the entire aviation sector, the number of emission reduction units is calculated, which each airline is to compensate in accordance with its emission in 2021-2029.
