KYIV, Sept 8 - Crypto assets will not be legal currency in Ukraine, despite the adoption of the law on virtual assets, the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"Virtual assets will not be a means of payment in Ukraine. The legal currency in Ukraine is the hryvnia," the report says.

The NBU noted the adoption of the law provided virtual assets with a certain legal status, and market participants - the opportunity to protect their interests and work in the legal field.
