KYIV, Sept 8 – The Ministry of Energy is initiating the attraction of funds from the State Reserve Agency of Ukraine (state reserve) for the purchase of coal for Centrenergo in the amount of approximately 1 million tons, First Deputy Energy Minister Yuriy Vlasenko has said.

"The ministry initiated a meeting at the Ministry of Economy, an order was issued through the Prime Minister. Now we will work out and try to make appropriate amendments to the state budget in order to purchase coal for Centrenergo at the expense of the state reserve," he said, answering journalists' questions during an energy forum organized by Energy club in Kyiv on Wednesday.
