KYIV, July 22 – Ukraine will not change its attitude to the Nord Stream 2 (NS2) gas pipeline project, its launch endangers the security of the country and the region as a whole, CEO of Naftogaz Ukrainy Yuriy Vitrenko has said.

"Our position is unchanged: NS2 is a threat to the security of Ukraine and the entire region. It is not a question of compensation, it is a matter of regional security, and therefore we hope that the principle of no agreements on Ukraine without Ukraine will be observed. NS2 is the Kremlin's geopolitical weapon, so we do not quite understand how other countries, especially the countries – leaders of the Western world, can agree on the Kremlin's project," he said in an interview with the Voice of America.
