KYIV, July 21 – Rivne Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) has begun the procedure for incoming inspection of Westinghouse nuclear fuel, which is planned to be loaded into the reactor core of the third power unit (VVER-1000) during scheduled preventive maintenance, the plant's press service has reported.

According to a schedule of power plant repairs approved by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the overhaul of RNPP-3 is scheduled from mid-November 2021 to early March 2022.
