KYIV, June 17 - Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal filed a lawsuit to challenge an order from the anti-corruption agency to terminate Yuriy Vitrenko as the CEO of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, the Kyiv District Administrative Court reported late Wednesday.
Shmyhal has asked the court to declare the order from the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, or NACP, to be unlawful and to be cancelled.
"The corresponding claim was received by the District Administrative Court of the city of Kyiv,” the court said in a statement. “Now the court is deciding the issue of opening proceedings on this claim.”
