KYIV, April 7 – Transit of natural gas through the gas transmission system (GTS) of Ukraine in January-March 2021 amounted to 10.441 billion cubic meters, which is 6.3% less than in the same period last year (11.1 billion cubic meters).
According to a report of Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine LLC (GTSOU), the average daily transit in the first quarter of 2021 amounted to 116 million cubic meters, which is 5% more than provided for in the contract with Gazprom (110 million cubic meters). In particular, 8.947 billion cubic meters were supplied in the western direction as transit (5.991 billion cubic meters to Slovakia, 2.093 billion cubic meters to Hungary, and 0.863 billion cubic meters to Poland), 1.495 billion cubic meters in the south direction (1.101 billion cubic meters to Moldova and 0.394 billion cubic meters to Romania).
