KYIV, Jan 20 – The International Monetary Fund may postpone further disbursements of $5 billion stand-by loan to Ukraine for several months due to introduction of state controls on the gas market, BofA Global Research reported.
The IMF has been delaying disbursement of $1.4 billion in installments to Ukraine from July through December 2020 citing slow reforms and corruption concerns, but recent the decision to force lower gas prices may add negative sentiment.
