KYIV, Jan 4 – Ukraine will recover its money spent on Chinese COVID-19 vaccine if the final phase of clinical trials fails to prove its efficiency, Deputy Minister of Health, Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko said.
Ukraine signed contract with Sinovac Biotech of China for the supply of the first batch of 1.9 million doses of vaccine.
"If it is not completed before the time specified in the terms of the contract, the money will be returned to Ukraine to the accounts of state-owned enterprise Medical Procurement of Ukraine. All risks have been leveled," Liashko said.
