KYIV, Sept 15 - A major explosion near Kyiv has rocked the massive Kyiv-Western Ukraine-1 natural gas pipeline that moves gas from fields in Eastern Ukraine to underground storage facilities near the border with the EU, S&P Global reported Tuesday citing the authorities.

The explosion hit a section of the pipeline near the town of Chabany at 00:20 local time (2120 GMT). No one was hurt by the explosion, the Emergency Situations Ministry reported.
