KYIV, Aug 3 – Agriculture is expected to be among the types of economic activities that will be least affected by quarantine restrictions, but this year slightly smaller harvest volumes are expected due to worsening weather conditions, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said in its inflation report posted on its website.
According to the document, risks that remain relevant: reductions in grain, oilseed, and fruit crops in Ukraine due to adverse weather conditions; and higher volatility of world food prices due to global climate change, and the risk of elevated protectionist measures across the world.
