KYIV, June 25 – Ukrainian producers of mineral fertilizers are preparing to appeal the refusal of the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade to impose quotas on the import of relevant products into Ukraine, according to a statement by the Union of Chemists of Ukraine made on Wednesday.

"At present, Ukrainian manufacturers are preparing the necessary legal basis for filing an appeal against this decision of the commission," the union said.

According to the manufacturers, the commission refused to quota imports under political pressure, and did not take into account economic calculations and the findings of investigations by the Ministry for Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture.
