KYIV, May 22 – Ukraine will allocate almost UAH 110 million in state subsidies to farmers to protect existing bee colonies, according to the government’s resolution approved last week.
The money will go to support existing 520,000 bee colonies in Ukraine, according to the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture.
Other spending will include partial reimbursement of the cost of construction and reconstruction of livestock farms and complexes, milking parlors, agricultural processing enterprises is planned in the amount of UAH 267 million, which is expected to reimburse the cost of the construction of 25 facilities launched in December last year through the third quarter of 2020.
