KYIV, May 20 – Due to the negative impact of the coronavirus crisis, the Ukrainian restaurant market may halve in the next six to 10 months, Taras Serediuk, founder and co-owner of the Mafia restaurant chain, has said.
"Maybe I am a pessimist, but I think that the market will collapse, it will at least halve. Everything that will happen in the next six to ten months will affect this. We are starting a war with our landlords. We are starting a big war with the state as for what taxes we will pay. We are starting a big war with suppliers who have sharply reacted to calls for [to pay] "nothing to anyone" and many of them are very belligerent," he said during an online meeting of the newly created Ukrainian Restaurant Association.
