KYIV, May 18 – Ukraine has assured G7 countries and the European Union that it fulfilled its obligations required to unlock lending from the International Monetary Fund.
Andriy Yermak, the head of the presidential office, met G7 ambassadors and EU delegation officials, seeking to facilitate the release of the IMF loan.
"Finally, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill on banks. And today we are saying that Ukraine has fully complied with all the conditions necessary for signing a new program with the IMF," he said, indicating that the conditions for full, rather than the shortened cooperation program, were met.
