KYIV, March 18 – Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has stopped regular flights throughout the international network in accordance with the presidential decree on the temporary restriction of crossing the state border aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine.
According to the company's press service, about 2,000 scheduled flights were canceled by April 3, 2020. Some 35 aircraft that make up the UIA fleet are located at the base airport of Boryspil (Kyiv). Some 90% of staff from March 17 are on unpaid leave.
