KYIV, March 18 - Ukraine’s steel output plunged 7.2% on the year to 1.71 million metric tons in February as spreading coronavirus pandemic had been destroying demand for steel, Ukrmetallurgprom, the country’s steel making industry association, reported Wednesday.

Ukrainian steel producers expect more pain ahead as coronavirus pandemic, which started in China and is now affecting global markets, continues to cut demand for steel.
