KYIV, March 18 – Ukraine seeks to accelerate negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a major stabilization loan as looming coronavirus crisis threatens to undermine the country’s economy.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said he was on teleconference call with the IMF, and that the fund had pointed to several positions that must be met for the loan to go ahead.
