KYIV, Feb 24 – In 2019, Ukrainian enterprises reduced the consumption of rolled metal by 13.1% compared to the previous year, to 4.685 million tons.

According to a press release of the Ukrmetallurgprom association, 1.419 million tons, or 30.3% of the domestic metal consumption market, were imported last year.

In 2019, 4.685 million tons of rolled metal were delivered to domestic consumers, of which 1.419 million tons, or 30.3%, were imported. In 2019, the decline in consumption of rolled metal in the domestic market compared to 2018 amounted to 13.1%, while the share of the import component increased slightly – by 1.6%.
