KYIV, Feb 7 – Ukraine will seek to minimize imports of power from Russia to a level that is required to secure safety of its power grid operation, Energy Minister Oleksiy Orzhel said Friday.

The comment comes amid widening concerns that the government has allowed imports of power from Russia, which has annexed Crimea in 2014 and is backing and supporting separatists in Donetsk and Luhansk.
