KYIV, Jan 15 – Ukraine's Ambassador to the U.S. Volodymyr Yelchenko has said that Washington plans to allocate more than $1 billion to Kyiv in 2020.
He said during a press conference on Tuesday that there is no other country that supports us more than the United States in the security and defense sectors: a total of $250 million from the Pentagon and almost another $450 million are foreseen in 2020 under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State which constitute economic assistance. He added that this year the total assistance from the U.S. is $698 million and purely military defense assistance is $365 million.
