KYIV, Jan 8 – Some 4.5 GW of new renewable energy capacities were commissioned in Ukraine in 2019, investments in the facilities amounted to about EUR3.7 billion.

According to the press service of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, the implemented projects tripled the total capacity of "green" electricity in Ukraine to 6.8 GW.

"In general, the existing "clean" energy facilities allow generating more than 8.4 billion kWh of electricity annually (about 5.5% of total production)," the agency explained.
