KYIV, Dec 10 – Around 1.1 million hectares of farmland under sale ban in Ukraine in fact have been actually sold out under long-term leasing and fee farm contracts as of August 2019, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations Mykola Solsky said.

The disclosed data speak in favor of President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s push to start land reform by officially allowing its sale and ending two decades of banned farm land sale.
